Celebrities are usually regarded when looking for some inspiration for Prom. It's an easy way of seeing what dresses would be suitable for your body. And with prom being a hectic and busy day, it's stress free way of simply turning your attention to a celebrity for there stylish. Although there was some beautiful dresses to marvel at on the red carpet, some where hit and miss. It also wasn't the type of dress you can alter, and would look good, some dresses looked like they straight came from the zoo, or maybe they were delusional when trying it on. We hate to be harsh, but with celebrities extravagant budget, we would assume they would look absolutely stunning, and classy. Boy, where we wrong. Here are some bad red carpet looks you should avoid for Prom
Don't wear an outfit that looks like a rat or giant moth was hungry, and took a bite off of it. Some dresses have holes in it, which is an indicator that the style is pretty trashy, so avoid wearing those styles. For example, Katy Perry is notorious for her loud styles, however this tops them all. Earlier this year, she wore a strapless long ball dress. Although ball dresses is a prom staple, what seem to be the problem? In her ball tulle skirt, there's open holes in her skirt. It really looked like a piece of swiss cheese. Pretty sad, not fab!
Avoid wearing any kind of fur on your prom dress, or strings that resemble looking like a mammal. On the red carpet, Mary Kate Olsen wore a long v neck thing of a dress. The style of the dress looked like she could have pulled it off if she had chosen a better material for it. We were surprised P.E.T.A didn't go after her that day.
We thought this was a no brainer, but time and time again, we're always proven otherwise. Every girl wants to be the center of attention, but do you really want to be infamous and known for your "hills" to come out? Not only that, but when is showing too much of your lady bumps really classy? Why not show a little skin, and leave the rest to imagination? Even some of the top stars known for there elegant ways have suffered from the same thing, like Janet Jackson, or Emma Watson. And as of just recently, Hills star Audrina Partridge recently wore a cute cocktail outfit, with a risk of showing her umm hills? Do yourself a favor, and try not to pull a number like this, otherwise you'd be left flashing the principal!
When is showing your underwear or g string in style? I know when, never! So why would you show a girdle under your prom dress? or your cute pink undies with a cocktail dress? You want your prom dress to be the attention of the night, not your undergarments. Jessica Lowndes usually has a classic wardrobe, but on the Red Carpet this year, she wore a strapless dress tea length dress. They key word is strapless, but she wore a strap bra? Just put 1 and 1 together, strapless dress equals strapless bra, some easy math for you!
Lets just review some basics. When shopping for a dress, you want a hot style, with a cute pattern. But most shoppers know that when shopping for a pattern, you either go for a bold color, sequins, layered dress, or a shiny metallic color. You learn to limit the pattern to keep you from looking too loud, and trashy. Eva Mendez wore a gathered, v neck line cocktail dress. Very cute style, but the pattern? Multi color sequins! What was the outcome? A disco ball, or confetti blow up. Your eyes will soon become color blind after witnessing something so bright.
